So I was on IMDb checking out the message boards of Repo (what else?) and saw a few posts that really irked me. Mainly by this poster, mindset21, who was really very rude and talking down to my fellow repo fans. so... I responded.

Re: Not even ONE song sounds good.....
You assume so much about an audience you know NOTHING about. Do you realize how many different fan bases have been drawn into this film? I'm 25 and finding that life is pretty fantastic in the world of Repo fandom.

LOOK at the stars of the film. You have people from ALL walks of life - Skinny Puppy fans and Buffy fans! Bill Moseley (classic horror ICON), Sarah Effing BRIGHTMAN! Paris, Alexa, Paul - Dude, seriously, there are so many different fans converging on this scene, it's not even funny.

For the most part, we've become a FAMILY. People are becoming friends, meeting each other during the road tours, and it's amazing the connections we all make with each other. We've EMBRACED our differences.

And just FYI, I love the soundtrack. I know EVERY word to the movie because I've seen it in theaters 13 times and I've traveled thousands of miles for it - I was part of the road trip to Toronto for the world's first shadow cast and I am one of the many who flew to LA this past weekend to be a part of that last stop of Repo Road Tour 3. If I could afford it, or somehow become independently wealthy within the next month, I'd go on the UK tour.

So back the hell off. There's no need to be rude - name calling and typing "sigh" is a show of just how immature you are.

Ok. I know the official road trip blog is going to be hosted on Crystalline Peaches' myspace, but I wanted to post something here as well... because who knows when we'll get the entire thing posted? lol

This entire trip starts with something we four road trippers had in common - a love of Repo. (epic duh moment, but I don't care. some people who read this don't know the extent of my Repo ways, people)

We found out about the World's First Shadow Cast of Repo in December and I decided that I only live once and I want to go to that shadow cast. There were so many reports of DLB and Terrance making it out, then not, then yes... it was like watching Vickie on Little Britain. ("Yeah, but no, but, yeah, but, no, but don't listen to her because everybody knows she's got crabs and she smells like a tuna sandwich left in the boot all day") It got to the point where the attendance of "the guys" didn't matter - no offense Darren/Terrance.

So after some failed attempts for several people to roadtrip to my side of the states, then continue north-bound, we got it nailed down. Peaches would be flying to Tampa to ride up to GA with me, where we would pick up Swift and the CymbalWench. The days slowed to a crawl for a while there, and then all the sudden it's Christmas and I have nothing I can take with me to Canada. Oh well. The 27th comes along quickly after Christmas (imagine that) and I finally get to the airport with a last-minute sign I made on the way - I totally intended to make it at home but I forgot with all the family stuff.

The sign was huge. You know those big foam boards we used to flyer the mall in Orlando? Yeah, it was one of those boards, with marker coloring all over it. And lyrics. And jokes.

Peaches appears on the escalator and waves a little, which brings me back to the land of the conscious. I was close to sleep, it was just after midnight. But she comes straight to me and thoom - I've got an arm-load of Peaches. Life was good. ;)

Skipping forward due to Peaches blog, we get to work the next day, and I have to somehow manage to work while she's sitting right behind me surfing the web. It was a very difficult 5 hours. After lunch we start driving.

I have never connected with someone so quickly besides my husband. We talked of many things, ("fools and kiiiiings, this she said toooo meeee...." heh Moulin Rouge quote ftw) and I just enjoyed embarking on a journey. While on the road I called AT&T to get an international plan on my phone. Peaches was in and out of dozing at that point. So cute! At one point we were having a BtVS:OMWF singalong and the singing got put on hold to have a nice hour-long discussion about fanfic. Wow. I've never been able to talk about fanfic with anyone before. I felt like a normal person.

Mid-discussion of a particularly great fic that I admire, we get to our exit for Swift's town. OMG Google failed! I had to have Swift talk me through getting to his house. We arrived, got ushered in to a beautiful home (though Swift was very humble and embarrassed for some odd reason) and let him finish collecting his stuff. He rushed upstairs for a shirt or something, and while Peaches and I were checking out a signed PotO poster, we heard a thump-thump-thumpthumpthumpthump THUMP and Swift skidded around the corner with a smile on his face. Apparently he likes to run and jump of stairs. It was too cute. Peaches and I started giggling - I think I even snorted.

We left the house, catching Swift up on conversation and plans, and decided to have dinner. Welcome to GA, we ate at a Hooters. And that, my dears, is another story that will be posted on Peaches blog. Stay tuned folks (you don't wanna move folks), pics and more blog posts coming soon.

Peaches left today for her trip home. GAH I'm going to miss all my road-tripping buddies and our Canadian Friends SO SO MUCH!
